A Guide to Live on Campus:

 

 A. Banks

 a. Banks Near TEDA Campus

Postal Savings Bank of China:

It is open to RMB businesses with your passport.

How to Find It: Walk out of the south gate before a right turning for a roughly 660-meter straight walk to a location within the College Town called Gongjian Qu in Chinese (which literally means a co-built area). 

 b.  On-campus ATM

ATM services can be found mainly around the old and new canteens within the living section, including services offered by ICBC, CCB, ABC, Bank of Communications, China Bohai Bank, Bank of Beijing, SPD Bank, etc. 

 

 B. Mail and Delivery Services

On-campus post office working from 9:30 a.m.—16:30 p.m. on weekdays finds itself on the southern side of the first floor of Students Dorm No. 3, offering services ranging from ordinary mail to EMS and parcel.

On-campus express services center working from 9:00 a.m.—17:00 p.m. on a daily basis finds itself at the first floor of Students Dorm No. 4, where seven express delivery companies are ready to help.

Besides, a post office can be found to offer postal services of all kinds at a location within the College Town called Gongjian Qu in Chinese.

 C. Shopping

On the middle part of TEDA Campus, twenty shops can be found to meet your different needs mainly around the first and second floors of the old canteen and the first floor of Students Dorm No.10 by supplying such daily necessities and services as fruits, snacks, stationery and sports products, books, printing and photocopying, design and production, laundry and sewing, key replica making and lock maintenance, hairdressing, photo-taking, Apple products, glasses customization, electronic supplies and computer repairing, etc. On the western wing, six shops help by serving as supermarkets, hairdressers, electronic products and telecommunication service suppliers.  

 

 D. SIM Cards

Both the middle part and the western wing hold service stations of China Mobile, China Unicom and China Telecom to offer all kinds of services. The College Town also own a business office of China Mobile and China Unicom to supply various specific services.

 

 E. Shopping Centers Near TEDA Campus

AEON Shopping Mall:

It takes about 21 yuan (by taxi) to cover a distance of 9.8 kilometers to visit AEON Shopping Mall where you can shop at the abundant supermarkets, the high-end department stores, the brand stores, enjoy movies, dine and wine, and entertain yourself, etc.

The Third Avenue of TEDA:

It takes about 18 yuan (by taxi) to cover a distance of 7.9 kilometers to visit Disan Dajie (the Third Avenue), the downtown of TEDA crowded with banks, abundant supermarkets, restaurants and hotels, department stores of various types, etc.

Trams of TEDA:

Beizhan (the North Station) within the College Town on Dishisan Dajie (The Thirteenth Avenue) is only 550 meters far from the campus to connect TEDA station of Jinbin Light Rail. The unmanned ticketing service on the tram that starts from 7:00 a.m. and ends at 20:00 p.m. asks for two yuan to do a roughly 30-minute trip whether you travel the whole route or only part of it.

 

Note:

Shengli Binguan* (Shengli Hotel) and Yanghuo Shichang* (Foreign Goods Market) are stops having a walking access to Tanggu Zhan (Tanggu Station) for a transfer to Jinbin Light Rail.
